Utility Computing (UC)

You will:
- Solve challenging technical problems, often ones not solved before, at every layer of the stack.
- Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
- Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and solve complex problems from first principles.
- Research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers.
- Launch, own, support, and continuously improve your solutions for the benefit of our customers.
A day in the life
As you design and code solutions to help our team improve authorization across AWS, you’ll write design docs, implement improvements, and resolve the root cause of software defects.
You’ll also:
- Build high-impact solutions to deliver to our large customer base.
- Participate in design discussions, code review, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally to help drive business decisions with your technical input.
- Work in a fast-paced development environment, where you’re always working on the most important stuff.

We are a critical part of how customers around the world access their resources, which give us global reach and scale. ARC sits at the center of security and innovation, often needing novel approaches to solve complex problems spanning millions of customers and most AWS services. While we move fast, we also have to look around corners and anticipate the peculiar ways AWS services work. On the ARC team, every day is a different challenge!
