POSITION SUMMARY
The Talent Management Business Partner supports the execution of talent strategies by working with business leaders and HR teams to assess and identify talent needs, drive employee development, succession planning and organizational growth. This role is responsible for:
- Talent identification and succession planning to strengthen leadership pipelines
- Leadership and employee development programs and strategies
- Employee and team development and engagement
- Leader integration, teambuilding and fostering a culture of growth and development
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support company-wide talent management initiatives to include, but not limited to, talent identification and development, leadership and employee development programs, assessments, data/analytics support, succession planning, mentoring, and teambuilding.
- Support and execute integrated career and leadership development programming and initiatives with Southern Company
- Conduct needs assessments and develop innovative and custom solutions for talent development
- Coach, advise, consult, and mentor individuals on career development tools and resources
- Support new leader transition for success
- Deliver assessments, surveys, supporting data, analytics, and reports on talent management initiatives and outcomes to drive and influence program design and execution
- Enhance employee engagement and retention through targeted efforts
- Design and deliver engaging and interactive facilitation sessions that incorporate diverse methods such as case studies, role-playing, and simulations to enhance learning and application.
- Ensure the use of best practices in engaging diverse groups and managing group dynamics.
- Develop and iterate content that addresses various learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) to ensure inclusivity and maximize participant engagement.
- Implement and manage feedback mechanisms post-sessions to gather participant insights and continuously improve facilitation techniques and content delivery.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create content that is both informative and engaging, ensuring alignment with real-world applications and company objectives.
- Utilize advanced facilitation tools and technologies to enhance interactivity and participation in both in-person and virtual settings.
- Establish and track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of facilitation efforts, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and align with organizational goals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational development, or related field strongly preferred
- Certification in workshop facilitation, assessments and/or leadership coaching strongly preferred
Experience & Knowledge:
- Minimum of three years of experience driving successful outcomes in Talent Management in a regulated or technical industry preferred
- Demonstrated ability to leverage, organize, analyze data into meaningful intelligence, and develop programs/recommendations based on findings
- Ability to successfully assess needs, consult, support succession planning, and promote best practices in leadership and talent development
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness, management, and leadership development principles

- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation and project management skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with peers and internal customers at all levels
- Strong interpersonal and consulting skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently, successfully prioritize, and manage various, concurrent projects
- Ability to successfully thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
