As a Security Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing SIEM solutions to meet evolving business needs. You will build and manage SIEM workflows and connectors, ensuring seamless integration of various data sources.
As a Security Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing and deploying SIEM workflows that automate/streamline the detection, analysis, and response to security events
- Customizing workflows to meet specific SIEM requirements to improve operational efficiency
- Developing/maintaining SIEM connectors to integrate various data sources, including network devices, servers, applications, and cloud environments
- Ensuring reliable data ingestion and normalization across diverse sources to provide comprehensive security monitoring
- Working with ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) frameworks to integrate and process security data from multiple sources
- Leveraging technologies such as Kafka, AWS Data Catalog, AWS Glue, and Athena to manage/query large datasets
- Utilizing scripting languages like Python, Bash, JavaScript, or PowerShell
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrate experience designing/developing SIEM/SOAR systems and workflows with ELK/Splunk
- Have proficiency in developing threat logic using search query KQL, SPL etc
- Have proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript, PowerShell) for automation and custom development
- Have a solid understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS, and experience automating tasks with Boto3
- Demonstrate experience with data management tools such as ELT frameworks, Kafka, AWS Data Catalog etc.
