Southeast Gas has an immediate opening for a Construction Inspector at its Andalusia Office.
Responsibilities for the job include:
· Inspecting gas pipeline construction for compliance with codes, plans, and safety standards
· Examining piping, materials, and workmanship during all phases
· Maintain inspection logs, reports, and verify installation accuracy
· GPS data collection
· Interpreting engineering plans and specifications
Requirements for the job include:
· Minimum two years of related pipeline construction experience (strong preference for prior inspection or contractor supervision)
· High School Diploma or GED
· Valid Alabama Driver’s License
· Ability to walk, crawl, bend, stoop, and traverse diverse terrain for extended periods
· Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
