Description POSITION SUMMARYThe Quality Specialist is responsible for quality reporting to the payers,
including reporting related to in-office assessments (IOAs), open care gaps, risk assessment, SDOH reporting, HEDIS chart chase, ensuring compliance with regulations and CMS guidelines. Attending monthly or quarterly meetings with the payers to review data and opportunities will be required. They will provide feedback to the practice related to quality opportunities and work with them on workflows opportunities when needed.
Additionally, the role involves educating new clinical staff--including MAs, LPNs, and RNs on quality metrics relevant to their departments. The Quality Specialist will perform clinical chart audits for new hires to ensure adherence to quality standards and proper workflows.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent of 10 years experience is required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid driver's license required
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years experience required within an ambulatory care setting required, with a preferred background as a Certified Medical Assistant.
