The Project Manager – Scheduler / Master Scheduler
This position serves as the Master Scheduler and Subject Master Expert (SME) within the Power Delivery Project Management team, playing a critical role in scheduling and coordinating transmission projects supporting GPC Customer Choice and Regulatory initiatives. The Project Manager – Scheduler acts as the principal technical expert for all scheduling activities, maintaining, and optimizing complex, integrated schedules using Primavera P6. The position collaborates closely with Senior Project Managers to lead meetings and discussions on scheduling and resource allocation for fast-paced, high-impact projects. Key responsibilities include coordinating design engineering and construction activities, resolving scheduling conflicts, identifying risks, developing contingency plans, and ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
This role requires a proactive peer leader who demonstrates technical excellence and fosters collaboration across diverse teams. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong business execution, analytical, and communication skills, and will serve as a trusted advisor to peers and stakeholders. This individual will mentor and develop other schedule analysts, promote process standardization, and champion innovation and continuous improvement. Job Requirements:
Job Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Business, or Construction Management)
- Experience in Project Management, Engineering, or Construction preferred
- Power Delivery experience strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera/P6 and project management tools
- Strong understanding of project management processes and critical path scheduling
- Skilled in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); database management experience a plus
- Experience facilitating stakeholder and customer meetings, communicating effectively across diverse audiences
- Proven ability to lead process improvement and standardization initiatives
- Experience mentoring and developing team members in scheduling or project controls
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs

Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Master Scheduler and technical expert for project scheduling activities using Primavera P6
- Support Senior Project Managers by providing expert guidance in scheduling and resource allocation for complex, fast-paced projects
- Coordinate and oversee transmission capital project activities, including Engineering, Procurement, Environmental, System Outages, and Construction, ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Lead process improvement and standardization efforts, including template development and schedule governance
- Mentor and develop less experienced schedule analysts, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
- Continuously monitor schedule progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive schedule reports and analyses for key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and actionable insights
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure schedules accurately reflect all project components
- Contribute to financial tracking and variance analysis to ensure schedule accuracy and accountability
- Ensure adherence to the gated process and support the refinement of Customer Choice and exception gated processes
