Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.
As the Marketing Director for Structural Interventions & Cardiac Surgery (located in Santa Clara, CA or Plymouth, MN), you will be responsible for setting the Division’s strategic direction and tactical implementation of full life-cycle activities for your assigned market segment. This role requires flawless preparation of product launches, delivering continuation marketing campaigns, tracking and measuring success, and a close feedback loop to/from our global marketing & education teams, field sales team and a high level of interaction with US customers. In addition, this role will lead a team of marketing managers whose tasks are launching U.S. product launches, executing local continuation marketing campaigns, driving sales and marketing promotions, and messaging and positioning both the Cardiac Surgery and Structural Interventions portfolios at the US level.
What You’ll Work On
- Achieve revenue, profit, margins for the Cardiac Surgery & Structural Interventions franchises in the United States
- Create launch messaging, targeting, pricing, promotion, and translations for Go-To-Market marketing business plans for the US, in conjunction with global marketing and education along with managing limited market release programs and reporting on execution deliverables and reimbursement tactics.
- Key finance liaison with focus on sales forecasts, plan LBE numbers and quantity purchase program strategy and execution.
- Communications needs including translation from "global message" for any US regional nuance/difference in product availability; US specific promotions and customer communications; sales engagements including launch meetings and calls; sales tool roll outs, quarterly sales promotions; quarterly plans of action and US programs to blunt competition.
- Engage with KOL’s and top accounts to drive preference toward Abbott Cardiac Surgery & Structural Interventions products.
- Maintains problem solving / collaborative relationship with Marketing and Sales leadership working closely with the Global Marketing Franchise Directors of both Cardiac Surgery and Structural interventions.
- US based revenue, programs and EOL support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- MBA or Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum 5 years managing commercial teams;
- Minimum 10 years of experience, both overall and any industry-specific Medical Device experience, preferably in Cardiovascular space
- Ability to develop, rationalize and present strategy
- Strong managerial skills relative to time, budget and people
- Can work independently, in groups, and cross-functionally
- Ability to apply analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and critical-thinking skills
- Comfortable to make decisions where there are competing demands
- Clearly, concisely and accurately communicates whether verbal, written or in presentations
- Strong aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software
The base pay for this position is
$172,000.00 – $344,000.00
