Compensation: Antioch University offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes both direct and indirect pay. The compensation will be based on experience, education, knowledge, credentials, and a consideration of the difficulty and complexity of the position. The salary range for this position is $76,000.00 - $78,000.00.
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Colleague Programmer Analyst to join our collaborative and innovative Administrative Applications technology services team. The primary responsibilities of this position include programming and analytical support for the University's enterprise software, Colleague by Ellucian, as well as development and enhancement of tools, APIs, and web services. The Senior Programmer Analyst will be involved with all phases of departmental software support including database administration and knowledge of Colleague security file structure. The position requires some on-call and "off-hours" as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and document software as it relates to the Ellucian Colleague ERP Suite for all administrative departments.
- Develop and generate reports as needed for business and leadership review.
- Develop testing plans and procedures for functional area to test solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed written technical specifications for developed solutions.
- Conduct analysis of Colleague software updates to determine impact on operations and work closely with Ellucian Cloud Services to coordinate upgrades and system support.
- Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about Colleague ERP applications.
- Stay current with advanced technologies; Colleague UI, Self-Service, Ethos/APIs, and Ellucian's development tools.
- Prepare documentation in order to provide information necessary for users to operate applications.
- Consult with end users to gather information about needs, objectives, functions, and features requirements.
- Perform analysis of user department needs to determine, define and document proposed solutions.
- Develop and maintain plans outlining steps and timetables for developing and implementing solutions in concert with functional areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and QualificationsMinimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree (BS) in computer science, management information systems, or related information technology field
- Three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in ERP applications, or in an information technology and software area related to the duties to be performed - 5 years preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Colleague Studio, MS .NET, C#, (PHP, JSON) and SQL.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Strong proficiency in Ellucian Colleague Studio/Envision programming
- Strong scripting skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Proficient with SQL and relational database concepts
- Strong data analysis skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
- Familiarity with Colleague security and security files
- Understand organization of Ellucian data files
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, and the public are required
- Manage competing priorities in a highly demanding environment
- Must be a team-oriented person and a dynamic, positive problem-solver.
Hours of EmploymentThis is a full-time position serving a national university. A work schedule will be established in consultation with the supervisor. Extra hours and/or weekend hours may be required during peak work periods. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
