Project Manager – Training Governance
Position Overview
The Training Governance Project Manager will serve as the strategic liaison between Training Support Services and the Training Council. This role ensures smooth governance operations by coordinating recommendations and decisions, driving follow through on council action items, and proactively identifying process issues that require council attention. The ideal candidate excels in communication, demonstrates strong initiative, and has deep knowledge of training processes and organizational training operations.
Key Responsibilities
Council Governance & Communication
- Serve as the primary communication channel between Training Support Services and the Training Council.
- Deliver clear, concise, and timely recommendations from Training Support teams to the council.
- Communicate council decisions, priorities, and next steps back to Training Support teams.
- Prepare meeting materials, summaries, documentation, and presentations.
- Track, manage, and close all action items assigned during council meetings.
Process Improvement & Issue Identification
- Monitor training operations to identify bottlenecks, gaps, confusion, or governance needs.
- Surface issues requiring council input and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution.
- Recommend improvements to governance, communication practices, and workflow alignment.
Learning Management Systems (LMS) Governance & Coordination
- Partner with Workforce Intelligence to configure and optimize the LMS, including user‑defined areas, governance standards, and structural updates.
- Lead the effort to clean up existing LMS content and ensure alignment with Training Support Services and council governance.
- Support implementation of LMS improvements and governance changes across the organization.
Project Management
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and timelines for governance‑related initiatives.
- Ensure projects related to council decisions or LMS improvements are effectively executed.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to gather data, analyze needs, and prepare reports for leadership and council review.
- Maintain governance documents and other publications to ensure consistency in processes, methodology, and adherence to governance standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications

- Analytical mindset — able to identify trends, interpret data, and surface governance needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting steering committees, councils, or governance bodies.
- Familiarity with LMS and training technology governance.
- Experience in training development, training coordination, or training operations.
- Experience with process improvement or organizational change.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, education, organizational development, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, training, governance, or related roles.
