Job Description
The Project Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Project Coordinator will support the Canning Thoracic Institute (CTI) at the AMC and regionally using process improvement and project management methodology in alignment with NMHC defined standards and related policies. Scope is operations, business and financial process analysis and enhancements for CTI, with a focus on clinical and translational research and quality initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Represent project management methodologies/ processes and related NMHC policies to support the defined project objectives of on-time and on-budget with a timely project close.
- Support core Project Management processes such as monthly Project Manager status reporting, project change management, compliance monitoring, portfolio measurement reporting and the development of consolidated and individual stakeholder project status reports.
- Provide guidance and support to all Project Managers for the defined Project Closing Process.
- Actively participate in Project Management Training Programs as needed.
- Ability to quickly learn Project Management (PM) related tools and technologies to effectively support customers/ end-users in the use of the PM toolset.
- Effectively support Management in defining and analyzing project management related business processes.
- Perform various ad hoc project financial analyses.

Qualifications
Required
- Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree or four additional years of relevant experience. Preferred formal education in Finance.
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point.
- Demonstrated organizational, analysis and problem solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 2 years in clinical research and/or healthcare with demonstrated success in project management and process improvement initiatives
- MBA or equivalent (e.g., MHA, MHSM), and
- Certification in Project Management or Process Improvement methodology.
