JOB SUMMARY
The Pricing Analysis Principal plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Pricing Design and the broader Pricing & Rates organization. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in data-driven analysis to deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the company. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, applying advanced programming skills, innovative conceptual thinking, and deep analytical experience to solve complex business challenges. Your strong business acumen and attention to detail will enable you to identify emerging trends and risks, making a real impact on Georgia Power’s success.
You’ll evaluate our existing portfolio by harnessing data-driven insights and quasi-experimental designs and use those findings to help shape tomorrow’s pricing products. Your work will directly contribute to creating value for our customers and supporting the company in achieving its financial, regulatory, and customer satisfaction objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- B.A./B.S. degree required in technical discipline such as computer science, information systems, engineering, data analytics, statistics or similar area
- Advanced degree and/or certifications a plus but not required
- 5+ years of experience in regulated energy industry
- 5+ years programming experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python, or similar language
- Understanding of cloud technologies, such as Databricks and Azure
- Proven record of experience working with large databases and use of statistical models for valuation and prediction.
- Knowledge of and experience with internal company data, data systems, and data sources preferred
- Experience managing and prioritizing across multiple assignments with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to pull, clean, and efficiently analyze large data sets identifying insights and patterns using traditional as well as predictive and prescriptive analytics
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to distill key insights and identify potential risks
- Outstanding problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills required – both internal and external audiences including regular interaction with senior executives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the execution of pricing and rates focused data analysis and visualization
- Design and execute experimental (where feasible) and quasi-experimental research to study cause and effect relationship between pricing and customer behavior
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current rate portfolio at the component level
- Support the provision of data to external requestors – including the PSC, third party consultants, and customers
- Take lead in special analysis requested by senior leadership
- Interface with internal customer data and analytics teams, advance pricing design principles, and represent pricing and rates interests
- Leverage New data and tools to automate processes, improve efficiency and deliver customer value
- Stay abreast of emerging industry trends and data analysis techniques for consideration You will be required to be in the office 4 days per week @ 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA.
