We're seeking a talented Program Manager to own the Selection and Site Merchandising function across all new e-commerce programs at Whole Foods Market. This individual contributor role is the connective tissue between individual program owners and Selection and Site Merchandising stakeholders—synthesizing program goals into a cohesive, all-encompassing set of requirements that drive exceptional customer experiences.
You'll work across all major e-commerce initiatives including Grocery on Amazon Core, Grocery Pickup, automation, and more, ensuring that selection criteria, product placement, assortment strategy, and buyability standards are consistently represented and executed. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and can balance competing priorities across multiple programs while maintaining a sharp focus on data-driven decision-making.
Key job responsibilities
•Selection Strategy & Execution: Manage item selection criteria across all new e-commerce programs. Ensure selection coverage, quality, and buyability standards are met and continuously improved.
•Site Merchandising Coordination: Coordinate with merchandising teams on product placement and site merchandising strategies. Drive consistency and quality across all program storefronts.
•Cross-Program Requirements Synthesis: Work with individual program owners to understand the goals of each program and represent a cohesive, all-encompassing set of selection and site merchandising requirements to stakeholders.
•Stakeholder Management: Partner with category teams, site merchandising teams, individual program owners, and the broader WFM E-Commerce Selection and Site Merchandising team. Navigate stakeholder complexity at senior levels to drive alignment and execution.
•KPI Ownership & Performance Management: Drive key performance indicators related to selection coverage, buyability, site merchandising quality, and assortment effectiveness. Monitor, measure, and continuously improve KPIs through data-driven insights.
•Data Analysis & Insights: Leverage SQL, Excel, and data analysis skills to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. Use data to inform selection decisions, identify gaps, and measure program impact.
•Program Mechanism Support: Support the creation and maintenance of program mechanisms that enable seamless execution of selection and site merchandising activities across initiatives.
•Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within the selection and site merchandising workflow. Implement scalable solutions that enhance decision-making speed and quality.
•Communication & Reporting: Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Provide regular updates to leadership on selection and site merchandising performance, risks, and opportunities.
