Key job responsibilities
The Role:
Be part of the team defining the system level architecture of Leo’s broadband wireless system from customer end points to terrestrial gateways via Low Earth Orbit satellites.
This is a unique opportunity to help define a next-generation wireless PHY solution with minimal legacy constraints. The team focuses on physical layer system design, including waveform optimization, modulation and coding strategies, MIMO, synchronization, channel estimation, equalization, and link adaptation under realistic channel conditions. Responsibilities also include PHY performance modeling and simulation, link budget analysis, spectral efficiency optimization, interference mitigation, and development of top-level wireless system architecture aligned with hardware and real-time implementation constraints.
In this role you will:
- Develop and improve physical layer modem algorithms for wireless communication systems
- Work on system architecture, signal processing, and performance optimization for components such as modulation/demodulation, channel coding, channel estimation, equalization, MIMO, and synchronization
- Support pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation/debugging
- Collaborate with RF, ASIC, DV, and SW teams to enable efficient hardware and real-time implementation
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
