Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of logistics and make a significant impact on our delivery service partner (DSP) network? We are looking for a Product Manager to own the intersection of technology, partner experience, and operational strategy within DSP Capacity Planning. You will build the team's AI product strategy from a blank canvas, own the roadmap for DSP-facing technology, and serve as the Voice of the DSP - ensuring that the experience and sustainability of our delivery partners is a first-class consideration in every decision we make. You will lead the team's product presence during Amazon's most critical operational moment - Peak - and shape the tools and experiences that make it work for DSPs. This role requires a product leader who can drive alignment across engineering, science, operations, and business development while keeping one foot firmly in the DSP's world.
Key job responsibilities
- Build the AI product strategy for DSP Capacity Planning from the ground up. This team has no dedicated AI PM today. You will define the vision, establish the roadmap, and set the bar for how artificial intelligence transforms the way we plan, operate, and serve our delivery partners. Identify and prioritize AI initiatives that accelerate planning decisions, eliminate manual work, and unlock new forms of insight. Drive education and awareness across the team and proactively explore where AI-powered tools can be extended to DSPs themselves, improving their visibility into capacity expectations, performance signals, and business health.
- Serve as the Voice of the DSP within the Capacity Planning team. Balance Amazon's operational needs with DSP business realities, ensuring the delivery partner perspective is identified, assessed, and represented in planning decisions, product changes, and policy updates. Engage proactively with partner teams, including Business Coaches (Amazon field leaders embedded with DSPs day-to-day), On-the-Road leaders, Fleet, and DSP Communications, to surface and resolve DSP experience pain points before they become operational issues.
- Own the product strategy and tooling that powers Amazon's most important time of year. As the Capacity Planning product lead for Peak and other high-volume surge events (such as Prime Day), you will define and drive the tools and experiences that help DSPs navigate volume surges of 2x or more, working backwards from the delivery partner to ensure capacity signals, planning inputs, and operational guidance reach them at the right time, in the right form. You will own novel product experiences built specifically for surge scenarios, push back where expectations are misaligned with DSP realities, and drive toward outcomes that are sustainable for both Amazon and its partners.
- Own the product roadmap and vision for DSP-facing technology within Capacity Planning, including the partner-facing capacity planning portal (the primary digital surface where DSPs view their route assignments, volume expectations, and planning signals) and related partner-experience features. Partner directly with engineering and science teams to define requirements, write PR/FAQs, set priorities, and drive delivery from concept through launch and into post-launch performance optimization. Reason from first principles when evaluating technical trade-offs, ensuring product decisions are grounded in customer value, operational feasibility, and long-term architectural integrity.
- Build the decision infrastructure that enables Capacity Planning to assess, route, and action change with consistency and rigor. Own the product experience and evaluation framework behind how proposed changes to systems, processes, or policies are reviewed for delivery partner impact and operational readiness - moving this from an ad hoc review process to a structured, scalable product capability. Own the product evaluation framework for requests to adjust a DSP's planned delivery volume targets, bringing consistency and data-backed structure to decisions that directly affect DSP business outcomes.
- Build the knowledge infrastructure that keeps a distributed planning organization operating from a single source of truth. Own, expand, and continuously improve the team's Learning Libraries - ensuring planners, field team members, and partner teams have access to accurate, current resources that reflect how we plan, what our tools do, and why decisions get made the way they do.
- Define and monitor KPIs and success metrics that measure product adoption, delivery partner experience quality, and operational impact. Use data - including usage patterns, DSP satisfaction signals, feedback, and support trends - to continuously sharpen roadmap priorities and improve what you own. Produce clear, concise product and strategy documentation and contribute to operational planning cycles (Amazon's semi-annual resource and investment planning process).
- Influence without authority across a broad set of stakeholders - including engineering, research science, last mile operations, business development, finance, and DSP communications - to build alignment and drive cross-functional delivery. Engage regularly with senior managers and Directors to communicate progress, surface risks, and shape strategic direction.
About the team
Have you ever wondered what it takes to keep millions of Amazon packages moving - reliably, at scale, across a network of thousands of independent delivery businesses? Have you thought about the strategy and technology behind ensuring the right delivery capacity is in the right place at the right time, especially when volume surges 2x during Peak seasons? If so, the DSP Capacity Planning team is the right team for you. We sit at the heart of Amazon's last mile operation - building the models, tools, and processes that help over 4,000 Delivery Service Partners (DSPs - the independent business owners who deliver packages to Amazon's customers) reliably meet customer demand, grow sustainably, and perform at their best.
