The Manager, Central Sales Planning (CSP) is responsible for leading a cross-functional team that drives the strategic evolution and operational excellence of Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) planning mechanisms. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with transforming the current sales planning function to better support the rapidly growing WWPS business.
As a strategic leader within SSBO (Sales Strategy & Business Operations), you will provide direction and oversight to the CSP team, ensuring that their efforts align with the broader business objectives and growth priorities. Collaborating closely with worldwide sales planning leadership, you will identify and prioritize initiatives that enhance sales planning capabilities and drive operational efficiencies. You will establish a performance measurement framework to track the effectiveness of sales planning mechanisms, fostering continuous improvement, and contributing to strategic documents (e.g., operating plans and executive escalations) and data analysis.
In your role, you will lead a team of functional experts dedicated to driving standardization, automation, and scalability across core sales planning processes such as annual planning, in-year planning, and revenue planning. You will empower the CSP team to identify and pilot innovative solutions, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance the sales planning experience. By fostering a culture of learning and development, you will enable the CSP team to continuously expand their skills and expertise.
Ensuring operational excellence, you will oversee the CSP team’s delivery of high-quality, timely, and effective support to field sales operations (FSO) teams across all geographies, industries, and sales segments. You will establish effective communication and collaboration channels between the CSP team and these FSO teams, facilitating knowledge sharing, problem-solving, and the exchange of best practices. Managing the implementation of the CSP team structure and transition plan, you will oversee change management and ensure seamless integration with the broader SSBO organization.
Your role will also involve cross-functional collaboration, partnering closely with other WWPS and AWS stakeholders, such as Sales Planning & Compensation, Sales Planning Tools, and AWS Global Sales (AGS), to align on planning requirements, drive operational consistency, and optimize decision-making. Representing the CSP team in strategic discussions and decision-making forums, you will advocate for the needs of the sales planning function. Through fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the CSP team and across the SSBO organization, you will drive significant advancements in sales planning and operational efficiency.
