Job Summary
The Transmission Analyst (Schedule Analyst) supports the Power Delivery Transmission Project Management organization by managing schedules throughout the capital project lifecycle: development, maintenance, analysis and reporting. This role partners with project managers, cost analysts, outage coordinators, and leaders to ensure accurate schedule integrity from initiation through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the schedules for assigned Transmission capital projects and programs, per the project controls scheduling standards and guidelines.
- Monitor adherence to project scope and ensure change management has been integrated into the schedule.
- Accurately identify schedule issues and address appropriately and timely.
- Ensure schedule reporting requirements are met.
- Partner with Project Managers and Cost Team to identify, support and align project schedules with cost risks/opportunities.
- Support Schedule Team, Project Managers and Stakeholders to ensure scheduling deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
- Support audit requests and maintain documentation.
- Improve tools and standard processes to reduce workload and strengthen schedule governance.
Required Qualifications
- College Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Technical, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years in project controls/project management/construction management for large capital or heavy industrial projects required.
- 2+ years of direct Primavera P6 experience with CPM (or similar scheduling tool) required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks under the pressure of deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and Access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting utility/energy or other capital projects.
- Power BI (or similar) experience for dashboards/automated reporting.
- Knowledge of construction and engineering productivity/earned value processes.
- Extensive understanding of project scheduling techniques along with knowledge and understanding of project controls methods and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effective in oral and written communications, facilitation of meetings, and able to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization.
