The AWS Route 53 Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) ADC team is seeking a system development manager who will be focused on leading a team of engineers to help ensure Route 53 maintains a 100% availability SLA. Additionally, you will be leading the team to build and deliver Route 53 features to ensure our customers continue to have the best experience possible.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Key job responsibilities
Lead a team of engineers on building, delivering, and supporting Route 53 services for our government customers. Drive operational best practices through automation such as operator tools and infrastructure as code.
A day in the life
It’s always Day 1 at Amazon. On a typical day, a Route 53 ADC Engineering Manager drives the technical direction for the team, manages projects, and works to ensure engineers are set up for success. The most exciting part of this role is seeing the team build and deliver the latest Route 53 features and software releases for our air-gapped customers.

The Route 53 team is responsible for maintaining a 100% availability SLA. The team will be focused on ensuring Route 53 services remain highly available following CI/CD methodologies and work to scale the services with operator tools and infrastructure as code.
