Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,000+ satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
We are looking for talented technicians to help full-scale production of the Leo satellites. Key job responsibilities
- Integration and test of the LEO satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment
- Rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive hardware
- Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Run functional and environmental testing on units
- Use computer software programs for conducting tests
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment
Additional Requirements:
- Willing to work 4 / 10s as assigned: Estimated shift time: Sun-Wed 5pm-3:30am
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Shift will vary, depending on program needs.
- Flexible working/commuting in between site locations Redmond, WA and Kirkland, WA
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
- Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A day in the life
The Integration Technician II will work closely with cross-functional engineering, test, quality and operations teams on both first-article hardware development and production hardware integration processes. This position requires skill and experience in a variety of areas, including mechanical assembly, avionics integration, rigging, electrical checkouts and environmental testing. In short, you will be responsible for a majority of the most critical tasks to build the Leo satellite, ensuring high quality, workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis.
