Energy Infrastructure Training (EIT) Supervisor
Job Summary
The Energy Infrastructure Training Supervisor provides direct supervision to a team of Training Analysts, Training Center Assistants, and/or contract employees within the Energy Infrastructure Training Department. This position serves as a leader of the Energy Infrastructure Training Center (EITC), supporting training programs across HVAC, Weatherization, Connectivity, Solar/Microgrid, and Electric Vehicle (EV) and EV Charger technologies. This role plays a critical part in the successful development and delivery of technical skills and instruction aligned with the training needs of employees and clients. The supervisor ensures expectations for instructors and support personnel are clearly defined and aligned to achieve departmental goals, while also ensuring effective reporting mechanisms are in place to track instructor and attendee course participation and completion. Additionally, this position manages the deployment of technology used in remote learning environments and serves as a consultative resource to all levels of management and employees regarding EITC training initiatives.
The Energy Infrastructure Training Supervisor will also periodically serve as a representative on Alabama Power, Southern Company, and industry committees, evaluating industry best practices and driving enhancements to current programs.

Job Requirements
Education / Licenses
- BS, AS, or Technical Diploma in HVAC or related field
Experience
- Experience in training or workforce development
- Experience in a lead or supervisory role
- Experience with project management
- Experience with budget tracking
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of codes and regulations related to prescribed fields
- Knowledge of instructional methods and evaluation procedures used to enhance the development, presentation, and maintenance of training programs
- Knowledge of Data Center Critical Infrastructure

- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to supervise, motivate, and develop employees through effective performance management
Major Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of training personnel
- Develop and present training programs that meet client needs and incorporate industry best practices
- Serve as a technical training subject matter expert
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of training programs
- Utilize effective performance management practices to support employee development
- Manage technology used to deliver remote training
- Deliver feedback to management on training performance of employees
- Maintain strong working relationships with supervisors, peers, subordinates, and field employees
- Participate in organizational and industry committees as needed
- Some overnight travel required
