The Real Estate Portfolio Manager is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the AMER leased and owned data center portfolio through effective asset management, process improvement, and strategic decision making. This role will have the opportunity to participate in all facets of effectively managing a real estate portfolio including lease compliance, lease renewals, owned asset management, building landlord/tenant relationships, and cost control auditing. Additionally, this role will have the opportunity to drive cost savings and avoidance while engaging in special projects and stretch goals. Requirements for this role include reading and interpreting lease language, lease negotiations, partnering with key stakeholders, and streamlining processes. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills who can work independently and possess a high level of competence in performing a full range of portfolio management responsibilities.
Key job responsibilities
• Perform strategic portfolio analysis, supporting business stakeholders during the site exit and renewal process
• Create and track key portfolio metrics, KPIs, and critical dates
• Drive portfolio optimization through process improvement, cost savings/avoidance, and standardized lease language
• Manage miscellaneous lease related and legal documents
• Partner and seek alignment with internal stakeholders including business development, legal, finance, and economic development
• Manage the landlord/tenant relationship through lease compliance, escalation, and de-escalation
• Ability to report on metrics of the existing portfolio, manage dashboards, and provide monthly/quarterly business updates
