Market Intelligence and Strategic Positioning:
Define and own the market intelligence strategy for Energy and Oil & Gas, synthesizing macro trends, regulatory shifts, and technology disruption patterns into actionable go-to-market frameworks for Upstream cloud adoption
Shape AWS's competitive positioning by identifying white-space opportunities and driving executive-level responses to market dynamics across the upstream value chain
Business Strategy and Revenue Leadership:
Own and drive a multi-year business development strategy for Energy and Oil & Gas, setting revenue targets, defining investment priorities, and aligning cross-functional resources to capture market share
Identify and architect strategic partnerships, and ecosystem plays that create durable competitive advantage and accelerate platform adoption at scale
Executive Engagement and Industry Influence:
Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and VP-level decision-makers across major Energy and Oil & Gas operators, building relationships that unlock enterprise-wide transformation programs
Represent AWS as an industry thought leader through executive forums, advisory boards, and strategic customer engagements that shape industry direction
Drive account team alignment and orchestrate cross-organizational resources to create and accelerate line-of-business transformation opportunities with measurable business outcomes
Solution Strategy and Deal Architecture:
Architect complex, multi-workload solution strategies that address enterprise-scale challenges across upstream operations, collaborating with technical leadership to define differentiated value propositions
Lead and close strategic pursuits with board-level stakeholders, structuring deals that maximize long-term customer value and AWS revenue growth
Cross-Functional Leadership and Delivery Governance:
Provide executive sponsorship and strategic oversight across internal engineering, product, and delivery teams to ensure successful deployment of Digital Upstream solutions at enterprise scale
Influence product roadmap and investment decisions based on deep customer insights and market signals
