The Employee Experience & Relations (EXR) organization is seeking an exceptional Lead Executive Assistant to support a high-visibility, fast-paced, and strategically critical role. This position requires a seasoned professional who operates with high levels of discretion, judgment, and business acumen. You will serve as a trusted partner acting as a force multiplier who enables leadership effectiveness across a complex global organization.
This is not a traditional administrative role. You will operate as a strategic partner who anticipates needs, drives operational rigor, and ensures the VP's time and attention are directed toward the highest-impact priorities. You must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, exercising independent judgment, and influencing across all levels of the organization. A strong sense of ownership and the ability to maintain composure under pressure are essential.
This role offers unparalleled exposure to senior leadership decision-making, enterprise-wide people strategy, and the opportunity to shape how Amazon invests in its employee experience at scale.
This role requires five (5) days a week in office.
Key job responsibilities
- Chief of Staff Partnership: Operate as an extension of the VP's office, partnering with Chiefs of Staff, senior leaders, and cross-functional EAs to ensure seamless coordination across the EXR leadership team.
- Executive Communications: Support the drafting and editing of select executive communications as directed by the VP. Help manage information flow by ensuring the VP is briefed on critical items and shielded from noise.
- Strategic Calendar Management: Own and optimize the VP's calendar as a strategic asset—ensuring time allocation reflects business priorities, protecting focus time, and proactively resolving conflicts across multiple time zones and senior stakeholders.
- Meeting & Event Management: Plan and execute leadership offsites, all-hands meetings, team events, and cross-organizational forums. Manage end-to-end logistics including agendas, venues, catering, AV, and post-event follow-up.
- EA Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as the lead Executive Assistant for the EXR organization, providing guidance, mentorship, and coordination support to EAs across the org in a dotted-line capacity. Act as a resource for best practices, onboarding support, and alignment on organizational norms and standards.
- Travel Coordination: Manage complex domestic and international travel itineraries, optimizing productivity and compliance with Amazon travel policies. Anticipate and resolve disruptions proactively.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with business and stakeholder EAs, business partners, and leaders across Amazon. Serve as a trusted point of contact for the VP's organization and external partners.
- Confidentiality & Discretion: Handle highly sensitive people-related information with the utmost confidentiality, given the nature of the EXR organization's work across employee relations, investigations, and workforce strategy.
