Temporary Wikipedian-In-Residence
Annual Reviews, a nonprofit organization supporting the research community and benefiting society, seeks an enthusiastic Wikipedian-in-Residence (WIR) for a Part-Time, Temporary position working up to 10 hours per week for up to a 3-week period beginning in August 3, 2026. Candidates must reside in one of the following states where Annual Reviews is registered to do business: CA, CO, GA, HI, IL, IN, MA, MN, NC, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, WA, or WI.
Responsibilities include updating existing Wikipedia pages and preparing draft pages for community review.
We are currently seeking applicants with a scientific background along with:
• Experience editing Wikipedia or writing for other public knowledge efforts
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Annual Reviews offers the following benefits for temporary employees in this role: accrued sick time, paid bereavement leave, and jury duty leave.
Pay Scale: Following is the salary range that Annual Reviews expects to pay for this position: Minimum of $30.84 per hour to maximum of $41.12 per hour.
Actual compensation will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: level of experience, skills, and specific home office location.
