Amazon MGM Studios is looking for a creative, driven Lead Content Producer (LCP) to join our Creative Content team in support of Original Series. In this role, you'll develop compelling audiovisual marketing materials for our original series titles and multi-title initiatives, contributing to campaigns that range from traditional broadcast advertising to innovative social media content.
The Lead Content Producer owns the end-to-end creative capture process — from planning and budgeting through execution and final delivery. This includes overseeing on-set BTS (Behind the Scenes) and EPK (on-camera interviews)) shoots, standalone social content, events, and marketing AV productions. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality creative content on time and on budget, while maximizing both creative impact and operational efficiency. The LCP also manages talent approvals and curates and delivers final assets to stakeholders.
The Lead Content Producer creates a range of premium marketing materials including "making of" documentaries, marketing featurettes, sizzle reels, and platform-specific social content. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external agency partners throughout the campaign lifecycle to deliver high-level creative AV.
The LCP brings a passion for narrative storytelling with deep fluency in film production and post-production workflows, and a strong understanding of how creative content functions within a global marketing campaign. They possess working knowledge of SAG-AFTRA, WGA, and DGA rules and regulations, along with proven experience communicating with talent representatives and filmmakers across the entertainment industry. This person is comfortable with ambiguity — they thrive when multitasking, improvising, and navigating evolving responsibilities across multiple simultaneous projects.
This role is based in Culver City, CA. Travel will be required.
Key job responsibilities
Video Production
• During pre-production, gather scripts, schedules, creative and relevant information for efficient production of content capture (BTS capture).
• Partner with internal divisions and collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect requests for on set production.
• Produce all video shoots which includes hiring and recommending the appropriate director, director of photography, crew, and/or production company to execute the creative vision of a given campaign. Work with filmmakers, unit publicists and talent reps to coordinate the capture of BTS content while on set, and on camera interviews of talent.
• Has the ability to write talent interview questions, exhibiting a deep grasp of the movie's content.
• Understand the logistics and pacing of production to understand how a marketing crew fits in to overall movie production.
• Pick up interviews after the wrap of production
• Produce large scale Content Days for marketing during anticipation of film release dates, including social assets.
Post Production
• Oversee all talent approvals for content.
• Work with Video agencies to full film clips, pull b-roll and soundbites from on set capture to deliver to partners
• Ideate, pitch and produce high-level creative content in the form of long or short-form content which can include ''making of'' docs, featurettes, sizzle reels and social content.
• Understand legalities film use and BTS use - be familiar with Paid Ads, and with reading and understanding legal contracts, including understanding contractual advertising restraints.
• Proactively work to problem solve and communicate to senior management, and actively seek clarification when there is ambiguity.
• Work with senior leadership to create policies, procedures and best practices that impact the broader department.
