Georgia Power is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking leader to help shape the future of our generation fleet. As Manager, Generation Strategy & Support, you will play a key role in integrating new and emerging generation assets, advancing reliability and maintenance strategies, and driving cross-functional alignment that supports safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. This is a unique opportunity to influence long-term asset performance, operational readiness, and business outcomes across Georgia Power's generation portfolio.
The Manager, Generation Strategy & Support provides strategic leadership for asset integration, maintenance and reliability planning, governance programs, and stakeholder engagement across Georgia Power's generation fleet. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, OEMs, and external stakeholders to support long-term operational excellence and asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of new and emerging generation assets into the operating fleet, ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and long-term performance.
- Develop and maintain asset lifecycle, maintenance, and reliability strategies, including preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
- Establish governance frameworks, decision-making processes, and change management practices that support operational excellence.
- Develop multi-year maintenance roadmaps aligned with outage planning, resource requirements, and business objectives.
- Partner across Operations, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, OEMs, and other stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.
- Oversee and Support Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) and strategic service contracts to ensure coordination, efficiency, performance, compliance, and value realization.
- Oversee and Support engagement with co-owners and external partners through governance forums, strategic planning, and operational coordination.
- Develop executive-level reports, presentations, and performance insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement through standardization, accountability, problem solving, and process optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Extensive experience supporting electric generation or other highly regulated, asset-intensive industrial operations.
- Established track record of leadership and enterprise-wide influence, with the ability to effectively align stakeholders and achieve business objectives across organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence across organizations.
- Experience in asset management, maintenance strategy, reliability, operations, program management, or performance improvement.
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
