Position Summary Are you a strategic communicator who thrives on connecting people to purpose? As the
Senior Manager, Communications, you will play a critical role in shaping how associates experience our business while driving a communications strategy that supports our culture, business priorities, and long-term vision.
In this role, you will lead the overall communications strategy for ADUSA Distribution & Transportation, with a primary focus on internal communications and complementary support for external communications. You will help bring our mission, values, and Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to life through meaningful and authentic storytelling, ensuring associates feel informed, engaged, and connected to our strategy. What You'll Do Lead Strategic Communications - Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy aligned with business priorities, organizational culture, the EVP, and the overall associate experience.
- Translate mission, vision, and strategic priorities into compelling narratives that resonate across leadership communications, associate messaging, and key business initiatives.
- Partner with leaders and stakeholders to strengthen and promote ADUSA Distribution & Transportation's brand across associate, candidate, community, and external audiences.
- Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Operations, and leadership teams to bring the EVP to life and strengthen our reputation as an employer of choice.
Drive Associate Engagement - Lead internal communications initiatives, including leadership messaging, business updates, change communications, enterprise-wide campaigns, and associate engagement programs.
- Establish and continuously improve communication channels, routines, and cadences to ensure timely, relevant, and effective communication across locations, shifts, and work environments.
- Own and champion the EVP, ensuring communications and associate touchpoints consistently reflect our employee experience commitments.
- Strengthen two-way communication by gathering associate feedback, monitoring communication effectiveness, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Advise and Influence Leaders - Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior leadership by assessing business sentiment, identifying communication needs, and recommending the most effective messaging approaches.
- Provide executive communications support, including speeches, presentations, talking points, town halls, leadership forums, and other high-visibility communications.
- Partner with business leaders on strategic initiatives, ensuring communication plans include clear objectives, target audiences, messaging, channels, timelines, ownership, and success metrics.
- Build communication readiness into major business initiatives and change efforts, helping leaders anticipate associate needs, communication risks, and adoption barriers.
Elevate Communication Excellence - Continuously evaluate communication channels, emerging technologies, and audience preferences to improve engagement, accessibility, and message effectiveness.
- Leverage approved AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance planning, content development, audience targeting, and insights generation while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Oversee the development, quality, consistency, and accessibility of communications materials across multiple channels.
- Define and measure communication effectiveness through feedback, engagement metrics, sentiment analysis, and business insights to guide ongoing improvements.
Support Organizational Reputation - Support external communication efforts, including community partnerships, industry events, public relations activities, executive speaking engagements, and thought leadership opportunities.
- Provide guidance on reputation management, external messaging, media support, and issues preparedness as needed.
- Lead crisis and sensitive-issue communications in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and aligned messaging.
- Build strong relationships across the organization and advise stakeholders on communication strategies that drive business results.
What You'll Bring - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive communications experience, including the development and execution of both internal and external communication strategies.
- Proven success advising senior leaders and translating complex business priorities into clear, engaging, audience-focused communications.
- Experience leading communications for large-scale initiatives, organizational changes, crisis situations, and sensitive business matters.
- Strong knowledge of internal communications, associate engagement, frontline communications, and communication channel strategy.
- Understanding of public relations, reputation management, executive communications, change management communications, and strategic messaging.
- Experience developing communication metrics and using feedback, sentiment data, and insights to improve performance and engagement.
- Knowledge of EVP principles and how they influence culture, associate experience, and employer reputation.
- Familiarity with digital communications platforms, emerging technologies, communications governance, and responsible AI usage.
- Commitment to accessibility and inclusive communication practices that support diverse audiences.

Salary - $120,960-181,440, depending on experience.
