Every Amazon fulfillment center, delivery station, and grocery store depends on the network gear, scanners, and devices that keep it running. Getting that hardware ordered, right-sized, and on site at the right time is still too slow and too manual. You'll build the program that fixes this, starting from a blank page.
We're looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to define and launch a new program that connects how infrastructure is planned, ordered, and fulfilled across Amazon's global operations network. Today, product teams and thousands of field associates each work with supply chain in their own way. They rely on manual handoffs and country-specific workarounds, and nobody has a single view of the process. Your job is to replace that with one governed, automated way for infrastructure demand to turn into orders, deliveries, and ready-to-install hardware.
There's no existing program to inherit. You'll set the mission, the operating model, and the integration architecture. Then you'll lead the teams that build it. You'll work with engineering teams who are already committed to this work, and with senior leaders across supply chain, procurement, field operations, and technology.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Define the program from the ground up: its charter, guiding principles, operating model, and how teams work together across organizations.
- Break down where time is lost between a customer's request and a placed order, set baselines, and target the biggest gaps first.
- Design how self-service ordering and automated bill-of-materials tools connect to supply chain systems, so orders flow without manual re-entry.
- Build a data model that handles country-specific regulations and vendor constraints as part of the design, not as exceptions.
- Set up forward-looking demand signals, so procurement moves from reacting to individual requests to planning ahead.
- Decide which systems hold the source of truth for each type of data, and which existing tools to invest in, consolidate, or retire.
- Write the strategy and present it to senior leaders, shaping who owns procurement and deployment for new site launches.
You'll love this role if you're energized by ambiguity, enjoy building something that doesn't exist yet, and want your work to show up in faster site launches, less wasted spend, and a better experience for teams across Amazon's operations network worldwide.

About the team
We make infrastructure simple for every team that builds and runs technology across Amazon's operations network, from fulfillment centers to quick commerce sites worldwide. We build self-service products that let customers plan, order, and deploy infrastructure on their own, make the cost of every decision visible, and support complex programs that self-service can't handle yet. Each one teaches us what to automate next. You'll join product managers, engineers, solution architects, and program managers, partnering closely with supply chain, procurement, and field operations. We work backwards from the customer, measure outcomes over activity, and give people real ownership.
