Fleet Maintenance Central Services & Execution Team is hiring a Field Execution Manager!

The Field Manager will lead a team of fleet specialist, as well as supervise Fleet Managers to improve Uptime and Availability, and will ensure a safe working environment for all. This leader must be input focused with a strong bias for action to eliminate failures proactively.
This position may be based out of any Amazon site within continental United States.
Key job responsibilities
- Support Fleet Operations team by working in a safe, customer-focused manner; and must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
- Develop and design innovative solutions to difficult problems, manage outside vendor issues for proactive and reactive maintenance.
- Handle multiple internally- and externally-sponsored projects and daily activities, manage and meet deadlines, and develop & track plans on how to accomplish departmental and distribution goals.
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and good working relationships with Operations leadership.
- Mentor all Field leaders and associates by motivating and providing direction to help them achieve their goals and make a consistent effort to go above and beyond.
- Develop Maintenance department business plans and provide guidance and direction for the successful implementation of those plans.
- Work with Finance team to develop, set and track budgets.
- Participate in and support efficiency improvement Kaizen activities and GEMBA for the site.
- Participate in weekly network Field, vendor and partner calls and periodic Manager conferences.
- Candidates must have the ability to provide specific, enriched feedback to enhance individual performance, and provide associates with written performance appraisals including discipline and up to termination.
- 25% or more travel requirement.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
A day in the life
The roles primary focus is to drive uptime and cost for the middle mile fleet. Focus areas on preventative maintenance, identifying root cause for quick field actions and working across different teams to drive actions to lead to uptime and cost improvements.
