The Role
GovExec is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented intern to join our marketing, sales, and events teams. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, lead generation, and event production.
This is a part-time, paid, eight-week internship beginning in June 2025. This internship will be hybrid, with the option of working at our Washington, DC office. Please apply no later than May 20.
Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Support
- Create and deploy weekly email digests and curated newsletters
- Design house ads for internal promotions
- Assist with email builds for eBlasts and event marketing
- Maintain and organize marketing databases, templates, and contact lists
Sales & Marketing Enablement
- Conduct research using ZoomInfo and other tools
- Support website builds and content updates
- Write marketing copy and assist with newsletter creation
- Prepare email templates and sales materials
- Research prospective clients and trade shows
Event Operations Support
- Submit design requests and assist with event site builds
- Coordinate, facilitate, and edit session recordings
- Set up virtual broadcasts for events
- Attend and staff in-person events (if local)
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or associate's degree program
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Curiosity to learn new skills and technology
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with Google Docs and Microsoft Office
