Contracts Agent (Nuclear Fuel Supply)
JOB SUMMARY
Join SNC’s Nuclear Fuel Supply team, a dynamic group of nuclear professionals dedicated to managing fuel supply and contract administration for a fleet of 8 nuclear reactors. This role involves developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve established goals in a collaborative environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Law, Finance, or Engineering preferred
- Formal education in contract or supply chain management is highly preferred
Experience
- Experience in procurement and contracting (commodities, services) preferred
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal customers
- Proven ability to network - establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors and other key stakeholders
- Ability to negotiate contract terms with legal teams and suppliers
- Self-motivated and ability to achieve well-defined goals with minimal intervention
- Strong administrative and organizational and the ability to deliver work products on time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with various levels of an organization
- Ability to think strategically and apply judgment to make recommendations which inform decisions on a course of action
- Ability to work cross-functionally at all levels in the organization
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform inventory management and planning for nuclear fuel in a network of global suppliers
- Conduct sourcing and contracting activities, including reviewing offers, price risk and cost analysis, negotiation, risk assessment, preparing contract agreements, contract execution and back-office functions
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships to execute the procurement strategy
- Develop high- level communications on fuel portfolio status, contracting efforts and risks which will be shared with management and leadership
- Work with team leadership to identify and mitigate risk
- Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in nuclear fuel (commodity) procurement through continuous learning
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Innovate and work cross-functionally to achieve improvements for mutual benefit
- Serve in the on-call duty rotation for SNC’s Emergency Response Organization (ERO)
