Position Overview
The Campus Services Lead reports to and works with the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Antioch University Los Angeles to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Campus Services Center (CSC) office. The Campus Services Assistant has primary responsibility in assisting with the daily activities of the Campus Services Center, in conjunction with the other members of the Campus Services team. Activities will include staffing the CSC front desk, providing customer service, classroom set up and technical support, mail and package distribution (outgoing and incoming), photocopying, cashiering, and coordinating parking services and safety and security.
In the absence of COO, The Campus Services Lead assumes oversight of the Campus Service Center and leads work direction for student worker/campus service staff with respect to scheduling, workflow planning, assigning work or giving directions, monitoring work, providing training and orienting staff/students.
Essential Job Functions
Campus Service Center
- Provide day-to-day oversight and direction to Campus Services staff
- Create and maintain the room use calendar, working with other staff to ensure a conflict-free schedule
- Plan, set up, and break-down of campus rooms used for lectures, meetings, and special campus events
- Provide technical support for the simulteaching/hybrid classroom
- Order and distribute office and kitchen supplies
- Monitor postage meter accounts, troubleshoot postage machine, and order postage supplies in a timely manner
- Maintain records for parking and building access cards and troubleshoot parking problems in collaboration with a third-party parking vendor
- Monitor office supply inventory and place orders, as needed
- Coordinate copy and printing requests from the university staff, faculty and administration,(Ex: ordering supplies, delivering mail, equipment, copying projects, faxing, servicing of equipment, customer service, etc.)
- Troubleshoot telecommunication problems including telephone, voicemail, fax, video, audio etc.
- Maintain A/V equipment in a clean and working order
- Ensure the scheduling, set up, and operation of audio/video equipment
- Report and coordinate routine equipment service calls
- Manage and monitor Antioch equipment loaner program
- Monitor condition of offices, classrooms, hallways, equipment, and other areas of the premises for hazards, deficiencies, and cleanliness and take necessary steps to ensure proper care and/or repair
- Relocate furniture and equipment as needed
- Ensure general office environment maintenance (i.e. housekeeping, lighting, temperature, space, etc.)
- Maintain records concerning the distribution and return of office and asset keys
- Plan and support Antioch's annual commencement ceremony, including serving on the
- Commencement Committee, acting as a Lead Point Person on the day of the event
- Liaise with the office of the building regarding occupancy and building security
Safety and Security
- Assist and/or coordinate emergency response for on campus incidents such as secure areas, hazard control, evacuation, light search and rescue, etc.
- Assist in implementing and communicating safety program and procedures
- Assist in facility safety inspections
- Inventory First Aid supplies and restock when necessary
- Provide general security for offices, classrooms, and common areas including securing all
- areas nightly (i.e. doors locked, alarms set, bathrooms and stairwells empty, etc.)
- Prepare incident reports and conduct investigations when necessary
- Escort students, staff, or visitors to parking areas when needed, and escort unauthorizeindividuals off campus property
- Maintain lost and found records
- Serve as liaison with building security
Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Two years of related experience, or a combination of equivalent education, training, and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, as well as the Google product
- platform and Zoom videoconferencing platform
- Experience with computer, audio visual and classroom technology, and network and telecommunications hardware and software
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and customer service skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Good judgement and problem-solving skills

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a full-time position serving a national university. A work schedule will be established in consultation with the supervisor. Some evening hours and weekends are required.
WORK LOCATION
Office to be housed at the Antioch University Los Angles campus in Culver City, California.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands and fingers, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The individual must regularly lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires daily use of computer and other standard office equipment.
