Job Summary: Oversees information technology related activities within assigned scope of responsibility for one or more major functional areas within the information technology arena. Provides high quality, cost effective, and efficient systems and service delivery to meet current and future demands. Provides oversight and direction regarding human resource, financial and operational activities which may encompass any of the following: Principal Responsibilities: Lead and develop a global team of professionals in partnership with our product and business teams to provide world class services. Design, implement, and manage enterprise infrastructure that scales with global growth including the migration to cloud services where appropriate. Transform current solutions and services to a simplified service providing an intuitive, experience centric architecture, serving regional needs. Develop and manage close partnership with business leaders to deliver and maintain alignment with corporate initiatives. Development and implement alternatives to traditional compute services, improving and simplifying our ability to manage platforms, servers, and network components. Offer “Infrastructure as a Service” to empower R&D and our services organization to focus on product development for their customer’s needs. Maintain a functional and strategic knowledge of current and emerging technology and product trends to anticipate new initiatives and set direction for the departmental roadmap. Work with team members and business unit leadership to identify areas of opportunity and drive the implementation of intuitive solutions that demonstrate measurable improvements. Ensure compliance with Security and Operational standards throughout the Infrastructure and core services teams. Analysis, design, creation and implementation of database configurations based on application designs and specifications Ensuring the safety of information systems assets and protects systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Design, analysis, planning and modification of internal company networks. Configuration, installation, maintenance, upgrading, monitoring and optimization of computer systems hardware and software. Providing onsite technical support to end users of computer applications and hardware. Development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications. Analysis, design and configuration of packaged software products to meet business implementation needs. Identifying user's business requirements during the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. Analysis and measurement of the effectiveness of existing business processes and developing sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements. Design and delivery of training programs, practices and procedures that may be applied globally. Ensuring the quality of project technical deliverables by executing test plans and confirming outcomes are expected and functional requirements are met. Plan, direct, monitor and coordinate activities related to technology & business projects and programs ensuring cost, schedule, scope and technical deliverable requirements are met. Providing technical and/or business process support services and problem resolution to internal users of company's applications, systems and hardware. Maintaining effective and efficient throughput of all online and batch processing. Other duties as assigned Span of Control: Provides leadership and direction through managers and senior managers. Erroneous decisions or recommendations result in critical delays or modifications to company objectives and cause long-term harm to business operations Work Experience: Typically 10+ years including 5+ years of management experience Education and Certification(s): Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained. Distinguishing Characteristics: This role requires an individual that is highly collaborative with strong influencing skills, ambitious, creative, highly resourceful, self-driven and results oriented with extensive experience in infrastructure strategy, public and hybrid cloud, engineering and operations Recent experience as a senior leader in a managed-services environment as a provider or client is strongly preferred. Experience in a large, global, matrix-managed environment is also preferred. Will play a strategic role where they will design and build infrastructure for sites/software, ensuring the highest levels of security and responding swiftly to any new and emerging vulnerabilities and security threats.
