Join the Amazon Books Editorial team and help customers discover great books. The Books Editorial curates the Best Books program (Best Books of the Month, Best Books of the Year/So Far), publishes the Amazon Book Review, works closely with authors and publishers to highlight their books to customers, and works across Amazon teams to connect customers with their next great read.
This editor position will be responsible for reading and reviewing for the Best Books program and creating content (written reviews, interviews, etc) for the Amazon Book Review and elsewhere on Amazon. As part of the Editorial team, they will help develop strategic initiatives and own the content strategy for the Amazon Book Review, applying project management skills to lead and develop best in class content for customers. Leveraging innovative thinking, this editor will develop improved mechanisms for content creation, planning, experimentation, and reporting. They will regularly engage with the publishing industry as a spokesperson and representative of Amazon. In particular, this editor will have a deep knowledge, expertise, and a proven track record of success for identifying and promoting Mystery, Thriller, Suspense and Science Fiction and Fantasy books. This role requires a passion for reading, books and celebrating the authors and the written word as well as strong writing skills, attention to detail, thinking big, bias for action, spokesperson experience, and strategic thinking. This role combines traditional curatorial expertise with modern digital engagement and project management skills. Requirements: 10+ years’ experience in the publishing industry; spokesperson experience.
