As a Technical Writer Senior Principal, you will be responsible for:
- Leading proposal writing efforts for complex government RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs across markets
- Building centralized proposal library containing pre-approved solution architectures, pricing models, and technical approaches
- Developing searchable content repositories enabling rapid assembly of customer-specific proposals with consistency
- Creating baseline proposal templates complying with procurement regulations while incorporating Akamai best practices
- Establishing content governance processes including version control, approval workflows, and regular content audits
- Implementing content reuse tracking systems to achieve target of greater than 40% reuse
- Designing standardized proposal workflows with clear quality review gates ensuring messaging consistency nationwide
Build comprehensive proposal processes
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 8+ years proposal management/writing experience in government contracting environment with technology companies
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills translating complex technical concepts clearly
- Possess deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations including FAR/DFARS and government procurement processes
- Have proven track record winning government contracts valued at $5M or greater
- Be experienced with RFP response management including compliance reviews, content development, and coordination
- Have experience building and managing proposal libraries or knowledge management systems nationwide
