The primary responsibilities of the ET Project Manager are:
(i) supporting Georgia Power’s strategic objective of designing and implementing the Vehicle to Grid (“V2G”) Pilot program (as approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission (the “PSC”) in the 2025 Integrated Resource Plan) setting the company up to offer Vehicle to “X” options for customers in the future.
(ii) managing the lifecycle of each of the V2G project locations, including working with the software/hardware vendors, electric school buses company, and customers
(iii) developing V2G goals and strategies. Developing the V2G pilot, pilot terms and conditions, interconnection process, Key Performance Indicators, and customer application process for future V2G projects. Etc…
(iv) providing metrics, updates and PSC reporting on the V2G pilot initiative to ensure upper leadership is aware of progress, successes, and challenges.
(v) utilizing well-developed relationship skills to work effectively with internal and external partners to successfully manage multiple projects.
(vi) Operate as the liaison between Power Delivery and Electric Transportation to help establish and integrate ET needs/programs into Power Delivery needs relating to load planning, Distributed Energy Management systems (DERMS), iClears, Load Diversity, etc..
This role will require execution and effective management of the V2G Pilot program and potential development of future ET programs simultaneously and with limited guidance, to ensure the long-term success of the Company’s electric transportation vision and objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree required
- 5 + years’ experience in project management and direct customer interaction
- Experience in electric utility Customer Solutions, Power Delivery, Pricing and Planning, or Renewable Development preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
- Technical aptitude to include:
+ Distribution and basic design requirements, operations, practices, and procedures preferred
+ Understanding of various electric charging technologies and their applications
+ Knowledge of the electric transportation market, including current market research and trends, and the ability to interpret data points and adapt customer strategies based on data
- Effective interaction with both external and internal stakeholders to develop strategies to meet goals
- Analytical and financial understanding of project impacts to the Company and customers
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal), including the ability to represent Georgia Power externally through community engagements and speaking opportunities
- Strong computer skills desired, including Microsoft Office, CSS, CIT, DistView, and JETS
- Working knowledge of power delivery systems
- Basic understanding of Georgia Power rates and their implementation
- Knowledge and experience in sales, consulting, engineering design, negotiations, contracting, and presentations
- Knowledge and experience in power delivery, customer service, metering, and regulatory compliance preferred
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines and successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multiple project tasks to help establish the metrics for the V2G pilot including, but not limited to, customer consultations, ongoing communications, site design recommendations, rate assessments, contract negotiations, and vendor selection/engagement
- Present V2G pilot program updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Provide V2G pilot overviews to customers and ensure they understand their responsibilities
- Identify appropriate technology and software necessary to execute on the company’s V2G pilot
- Identify and select specific customers and locations to participate in the V2G pilot, including developing the selection criteria
- Provide electric transportation consultative services to customers and advise and advocate on topics such as electric vehicles, chargers options, fleet conversions, charging strategies, and rate options
- Conduct site assessments with customers, Operations team, and installers
- Develop interconnection process for V2G technology, including identifying necessary software and working with internal parties on interconnection studies
- Develop Terms and Conditions and Interconnection Agreements for customers with V2G technology
- Develop final project design plans and costs in coordination with the customer, design engineer, and construction team
- Prepare contracts and exhibits for customer signatures
- Evaluate benefits and incentives to participating customers and future program participants
- Partner with External Affairs, National Accounts and Managed Accounts Departments to reach high-priority ET customer targets
- Work with Distribution, Accounting, and Operations Departments to ensure accounting and purchasing orders/project authorization agreements are set up to pay installers
- Properly document each project to prepare for potential data requests from the PSC
- Communicate project progress and results to internal and external partners throughout the project lifecycle
- Establishing liaison position between ET and Power Delivery to ensure both teams needs are being met
