As a Supply Chain Manager within the Amazon Sortation Center (SC) network, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our ~120 buildings meet the complex demands of Amazon's next-day and two-day delivery promises.
NASC Engineering's Strategy team leads the evolution of NASC's middle-mile network through comprehensive planning and optimization, managing critical focus areas spanning long-term capacity expansion, automation strategy, and network standardization.
We balance strategic initiatives in network design with tactical operational requirements, ensuring our planning delivers both immediate value and future scalability while setting our Operations partners up for success.
Key job responsibilities
- Plan and execute network optimization strategies that improve operational efficiency
- Lead strategic planning cycles (SPS/OP1/OP2), coordinating inputs from numerous cross-functional teams
- Support Engineering teams on innovation pilots from concept through network-wide implementation
- Facilitate strategic decisions across comprehensive capacity models considering equipment configurations, yard space, and operational constraints
- Analyze and recommend solutions to enhance SC utilization and delivery performance
- Manage complex automation projects
- Create and present business cases for capital investments and network improvements
- Partner with Planning, Engineering, and Operations teams on strategic initiatives
- Lead standardization efforts across building templates and automation solutions
- Contribute to new capacity initiatives and optimization including site launches, retrofits, and expansions
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for network initiatives
- Create data-driven recommendations for continuous network improvements
- Drive cross-functional alignment on capacity planning and execution timelines

Engineering Capacity Planning team's mission is to optimize network capacity and non-capacity build plans for Sort Centers within the NASC Engineering organization. As the hub for NASC Engineering planning efforts, we integrate workstreams across all stages of the Sort Center lifecycle, enabling the actualization of standardization and optimization efforts. We are dedicated to delivering solutions that drive efficiency and excellence in our capacity utilization and lifecycle cost of our assets.
