Our Team is central to Akamai's commitment to get ahead of changes in the security standards space. We are a team of security subject matter experts. We translate compliance requirements into technically verifiable stories. Our team provides guidance to engineering teams and explains our procedures to assessors.
Shape internet security
You will assist with safeguarding the security of Akamai's infrastructure and providing internal advocacy for security practices. You will work closely with product/platform teams to ensure our systems meet the safety/ security compliance needs of our customers and the public.
As a Security Compliance Specialist II, you will be responsible for:
- Leading analysis activities in support of interpreting compliance standards and telling the Akamai compliance story
- Creating detailed analysis to support compliance efforts, including written reports, presentations, and other forms of communication
- Investigating potential issues and developing potential solutions through working collaboratively with stakeholders
- Working closely with key stakeholders to identify, document and communicate issues related to compliance activities
- Coordinating other cross functional projects that deliver value to our organization
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 5 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Management Information Systems, or related field
- Have experience with FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Level 5 Authorizations
- Demonstrate experience with writing FedRAMP High Documentation
- Have experience with industry compliance/security standards including: FedRAMP, NIST/DoD frameworks, SOC 2, PCI
- Able to advise customers on architectures to securely meet business needs while also meeting/exceeding industry standards/local policies
- Have experience in IT security, IT risk management or IT audit and understand internet networks/protocols
- Have experience with security technologies, processes, and concepts such as cryptography or TLS, and Authentication and Authorization
- Be able to obtain a security clearance
