Position Summary
The Supply Chain Transformation Analyst plays a critical role in shaping, evaluating, and delivering complex, multi-year initiatives that advance ADUSA Distribution's long-term supply chain strategy across the Ahold Delhaize network. This position provides enterprise-level analytical leadership, cross-functional coordination, and structured project execution to enable network growth, operational efficiency, and end-to-end optimization in support of brand and customer needs.
The analyst is responsible for conducting advanced analyses, modeling scenarios, supporting investment decisions, and coordinating stakeholders across Operations, Transportation, Real Estate, IT, Finance, Procurement, and external partners. The role applies professional judgment, technical expertise, and change-management principles to evaluate opportunities, mitigate risks, and support the implementation of large-scale supply chain transformation efforts, including network redesign, facility expansions, process modernization, and automation enablement.
Work is performed with moderate to high autonomy, receiving guidance on overall priorities but independently determining methods, analytical approaches, and execution steps. The role influences decisions that directly affect network capacity, cost structure, service performance, and long-range operational planning.
Primary Duties & What You'll Be Trusted to Deliver
trategic & Analytical Responsibilities
- Conduct complex quantitative and qualitative analyses (e.g., cost-to-serve, flow path optimization, transportation modeling, capacity modeling, labor productivity) to support enterprise supply chain transformation initiatives.
- Develop scenario-based models to evaluate trade-offs relating to facility expansion, consolidation, automation introduction, and transportation network changes; provide evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders.
- Assess financial impacts, including capital requirements, operating cost changes, and payback periods; prepare data sets for business cases presented to senior leadership.
Project & Program Execution
- Serve as an analytical and coordination lead for initiatives involving multi-site, multi-function project teams; ensure alignment with strategic priorities, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Manage detailed project workplans, KPIs, risk logs, and milestone tracking, escalating barriers and proposing corrective actions when needed to maintain project momentum.
- Own development of high-quality presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries for project teams, governance councils, and senior leaders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Operations, Transportation, Finance, IT, Real Estate, and external engineering partners to ensure data quality, validate assumptions, and harmonize cross-functional requirements.
- Facilitate working sessions, process mapping exercises, and solution design workshops that translate strategic objectives into actionable operational steps.
- Provide subject-matter support during facility launches, transitions, and network changes, including coordinating go-live activities and validating operational readiness.
Operational Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and benchmark internal processes against industry best practices, emerging technologies, and automation trends to identify optimization opportunities across warehousing, transportation, and inventory flow.
- Support deployment of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) across distribution centers and transportation operations; assist in developing standard work, future-state process flows, and performance monitoring tools.
- Generate insights using data from WMS, TMS, ERP, and labor management systems to identify systemic inefficiencies and improvement levers.
Governance, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure that analytical models, data sets, and assumptions align with corporate governance guidelines and financial standards.
- Maintain rigorous documentation of analyses, methodologies, and decision logs to support auditability and transparent decision-making.
- Monitor KPIs associated with transformation programs (service performance, cost impacts, project ROI) and prepare periodic updates for internal leadership and network-level reporting.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related technical field required.
- Master's degree preferred (MBA, MS in Supply Chain/Analytics/Engineering).
Experience
- 3-7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, operations analysis, industrial engineering, or network optimization roles.
- Experience in distribution, fulfillment, transportation modeling, or large-scale supply chain projects strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting capital investment analyses, network redesign projects, or technology/automation implementation is a plus
Knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced functions), PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with initiative/project management platforms (SmartSheet, MS Project, Monday.com).
- Working knowledge of supply chain systems (WMS, TMS, LMS, ERP) and their data structures.
- Understanding of distribution center operations, transportation planning, inventory flow strategies, and end-to-end supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies; certifications beneficial but not required.
