Position Summary
Are you ready to design the future of a large-scale distribution and transportation network? As Director, Network Strategy & Optimization, you will lead the mapping, modeling, and optimization of our end-to-end supply chain network-shaping how products move, how capacity is deployed, and how assets are leveraged for maximum performance.
In this high-impact leadership role, you'll uncover complex patterns and dependencies across the network and translate them into practical, data-driven solutions to real business challenges. You'll integrate financial and operational insights to resolve trade-offs, balance cost and service, and build a forward-looking network strategy that fuels growth, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
You'll also serve as a key architect of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), build a sustainable talent pipeline, and collaborate closely with senior leaders across the enterprise to align resources, priorities, and strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do & Deliver
Shape the Future Network
• Lead the mapping and optimization of the Distribution and Transportation Network topography to unlock capacity, throughput, and efficiency gains.
• Proactively identify capacity constraints and SKU-level challenges, partnering with Systems, Network, Tools, Operations, and Engineering teams to design sustainable solutions.
• Re-optimize network decisions by balancing cost, throughput, and yield-maximizing performance from existing assets.
Drive Integrated, Data-Driven Strategy
• Integrate financial and operational data to confidently resolve trade-offs and design the optimal future-state network.
• Translate complex scenarios into prescriptive analytics and actionable recommendations.
• Support the creation and evolution of a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) organization in partnership with Category and business leaders.
Lead Enterprise Alignment & Change
• Collaborate with leadership to shape supply chain strategies and long-term network initiatives.
• Align cross-functional resources and priorities to achieve enterprise savings and performance goals.
• Act as a visible promoter of change, growth, and continuous improvement in a dynamic operating environment.
Build High-Performance Teams
• Develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of network strategy professionals.
• Lead talent planning, succession, and performance management to build a sustainable capability pipeline.
• Foster associate engagement, accountability, and a culture of execution excellence.
Influence at the Highest Levels
• Communicate with senior leaders across the organization to align priorities and secure buy-in.
• Govern within strategic and financial guardrails-while pushing boundaries to unlock new value.
• Maintain a high level of organizational and industry credibility through insight, delivery, and results.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Education
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (required)
• MBA or advanced degree (preferred)
• 7+ years of experience in Distribution, Network Strategy, or Continuous Improvement
• Proven success leading logistics optimization initiatives and cross-functional teams
• Strong financial planning, budgeting, and business case experience
• Demonstrated expertise in change management and project leadership (Lean / Six Sigma a plus)
Knowledge & Expertise
• Deep understanding of distribution, transportation, and network optimization practices
• Advanced financial modeling, reporting, and analytical capabilities
• Ability to translate business cases into prescriptive analytics models
• Strong business development insight and market awareness
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
