ARC is looking for a Content and Media Relations Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will support external-facing brand and communications strategies that elevate ARC’s reputation as a trusted partner and leader in the air travel industry. You'll advance ARC’s engagement with the media and develop thought leadership content that aligns with ARC’s commercial and brand objectives. You will Engage with internal stakeholders to support the execution of ARC’s content and media strategy. The Content and Media Relations Specialist will be expected to advise internal stakeholders on external communications opportunities, help them prepare for interviews and other external engagements, and provide direction on the best approach to reach goals. You'll also execute activities to support awareness and perception of the organization and its leadership and other subject matter experts (SMEs), and overall understanding of the strategic priorities of the company. And, build and maintain relationships with key media outlet representatives and other industry influencers.
Responsibilities- Create and/or edit content aligned to strategic initiatives. Content creation could include press releases, social media posts, stakeholder emails, talking points, blog and web content, plus video scripting.
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key media contacts and outlets to keep ARC top of mind within the travel industry.
- Help transform ARC’s global air travel data into compelling stories for media.
- Utilize wire services, distribution tools and social media to maximize media pickup of company news. Report results back to manager and discuss areas for improvement.
- Support public relations opportunities; facilitates and works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to drive news and thought leadership content using appropriate methods while ensuring tone and voice. Ensure external communication products are of the highest quality and properly coordinated, advising key clients on timing and frequency of communications.
- Gather, analyze and distribute relevant industry news and customer perspectives to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, English, journalism or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
- 3+ years of experience in external communications and media relations; ideally some experience in the airline and/or travel industry
- Strong knowledge of grammar, AP Style standards and media relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
