DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
The Engineering Supervisor (ES) will work with peer leaders to provide overall leadership and direction to the Northeast Distribution Region. Specifically, this position is responsible for the region, Distribution engineering teams in the Clayton, Cornelia, and Gainesville headquarters.

- Provide leadership and guidance to engineers during the planning, engineering, and construction of all distribution projects in the assigned areas.
- Ensure that engineering designs meet Company standards and that project costs are effectively managed.
- Work closely with the other functional departments to deliver best-in-class, customer value, reliability and cost as well as supporting external community activities.
- Support storm restoration efforts in the Region, across the Southern System, and, on occasion, off system.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is strongly preferred.
Experience
- Demonstrated commitment to “Our Values” is required.
- Formal leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven record of dealing effectively with customers is preferred.
- Experience working as a region, Distribution engineer is preferred.
- Minimum five years' experience in the design and/or operation of the electrical distribution system (i.e., overhead, underground) is preferred.
- Experience presenting projects at the DPRT and/or T&D committees is preferred.
- Experience managing capital and O&M budgets is a plus.
- Experience with storm response and SERP planning is required.
