Job Summary:
The primary role of a Maintenance Tech II is to ensure all facility preventive maintenance, repair, replace, and upgrade work is completed.
Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Preferred Related degree from a technical college.
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Basic computer knowledge. Microsoft office suite.
- Proficient in the use of common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
- Certified forklift operator.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various production and building equipment, including
- hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
- Experience performing routine maintenance.
- Ability to operate within and adhere to general plant rules and policies governing workplace.

- Ability to effectively manage work tasks. Detail-oriented and strives for continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to perform basic repairs to buildings and grounds.
- Ability to perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs to maintain the facility.
- Familiar with Lock out/Tag out procedures.
- Knowledgeable about all required department procedures.
- Has demonstrated the ability to complete work in a timely fashion.
- Trained Lock out/Tag out procedures.
- The ability to perform routine carpentry and related work involved in maintaining the facility.
- Ability to assist in moving or adding equipment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with others across multiple departments and works professionally to support team.
- Responds to work requests and assistance needed, with a sense of urgency.
- Assist Level II & III Technicians with disassembling, selecting repair procedure, ordering parts as needed, and repairing or replacing worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
- Assist Level II & III Technicians with troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of various production and building equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance.
- Disassemble, select repair procedure, order parts as needed, and repair or replace worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
- Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on production equipment.
- Completes work assignments using a work order system (CMMS).
- Lead and train junior technicians in performing skilled mechanical maintenance work in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic automated production equipment.
- Lead and train junior technicians in skilled maintenance and repair of building infrastructure including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
- Lead and train junior technicians in maintenance and repair work at heights using aerial lifts including scissor lifts and articulate boom lifts.
- Certified in Lock out/Tag out procedures. Use to inspect process accuracy.
- Basic knowledge in relay logic and PLC functionality including VFD’s and HMI operation.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits up to 480 volts, A/C.
- Complete continuing education, E-learning, classroom, and OJT requirements.
- Direct vendors and contractors during onsite activities.
- Lead and train junior technicians in enforcing a safe workplace and promoting a culture of teamwork.
- Complete routine checks and inspection of equipment and report problems to the Supervisor.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Limited local travel will be required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have constant control over workflow.
- Must be able to lift 45lbs.
- Manual dexterity to operate digital equipment, including computers, HMIs, and other such equipment with small fine buttons and operators.
- Routinely walking around in a production environment wearing PPE
