Position Summary As the
Supervisor of Training & Development, you will play a vital role in shaping the success of our distribution center by developing skilled, safety-focused, high-performing associates. You'll lead daily training operations, support associate development, and partner closely with leaders across the campus to ensure our teams are equipped to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who loves coaching, enjoys building talent, and thrives on creating positive learning experiences that drive operational excellence.
What You'll Be Trusted to Deliver Lead & Develop Team Members - Supervise daily department operations and assigned staff.
- Support associate performance through coaching, development plans, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes.
- Lead training for both new hires and existing associates, including equipment operation and selection processes.
- Hold departmental meetings to ensure communication, alignment, and ongoing development.
Ensure Training Accuracy & Operational Alignment - Verify that all associates are assigned and aligned to daily Labor Management tasks.
- Monitor staffing needs and adjust daily assignments to support workflow and productivity.
- Communicate effectively with leaders and other warehouse departments to maintain smooth operations.
Uphold Policy & Performance Standards - Administer and document disciplinary actions as needed in accordance with company policy.
- Create reports, documentation, and training metrics for leadership review.
- Ensure consistent execution of training standards, safety protocols, and warehouse best practices.
Qualifications Education & Experience - High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3+ years of distribution or warehouse experience required.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in selection training and powered industrial truck (PIT) operation required.
Abilities - Ability to create reports, documentation, and training metrics.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, lifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong communication skills-both verbal and written-with the ability to train and lead teams professionally.
- Ability to collaborate with various teams within the distribution center.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, WMS, and other warehouse systems.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and guide associates effectively.
- Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and changing hours.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to perform all ADDIE training phases: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement & Evaluate.
- Ability to work in warehouse temperatures ranging from -5°F to 90°F+ for long periods.
