Customer Choice PM Manager
Location: 241 Ralph McGill Blvd., Atlanta GA – GPC Corporate Office.
Job Summary
This position provides leadership and direction for the GPC Transmission Project Management Organization (PMO), overseeing the statewide project managers of Customer Choice projects. The Customer Choice PM Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects by guiding and supporting project managers in their efforts to meet project goals and objectives. This role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration to address and resolve challenges.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide leadership and support for project managers or senior project managers overseeing prospective and committed large load data center, manufacturing, and other commercial/industrial loads in Georgia.
+ Ensure the expedited gated process is followed for prompt and efficient project development and execution.
+ Collaborate closely with the GPC Business Development organization and other partners to support customer negotiations, analyze multiple service alternatives, conduct timeline reviews, and secure executive leadership buy-in for recommended project solutions.
+ Formulate strategies to enhance customer negotiations and optimize capital project costs, which will ultimately generate profitable new business revenue for GPC.
- Capital Budget Management
+ Support the development and management of the transmission capital budget.
+ Ensure all Customer Choice project documentation is promptly routed with the appropriate TPRT and T&D approvals.
+ Ensure that monthly budget projections are submitted accurately and on time.
+ Support the Capital Portfolio Manager, AFT, and Transmission PMO Cost Team in all budget rebuilding exercises throughout the year, with a focus on customer choice projects as a primary driver of the transmission capital budget.
Job Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Business or related field.
+ Advanced degree and/or PMP certification is a plus.
+ Demonstrated Safety focus.
+ Demonstrated leadership with managerial and/or supervisory experience, including performance management responsibilities, with a minimum requirement:
* 5 years of experience to lead senior project manager team
* 3 years of experience with 5+ years of project management experience to lead project manager team
+ At least 5 years of combined experience in the following areas is preferred:
* Transmission Planning, Transmission Design/Engineering, Transmission Construction, Transmission Maintenance, Transmission Operations, Transmission Project Management, and/or Business Development
+ Proven experience in successfully managing internal and external relationships.
+ Knowledgeable in current and emerging project management practices, with the ability to implement those practices to enhance the PMO’s effectiveness in meeting business objectives.

+ Demonstrated ability to influence senior-level management and key stakeholders and lead through influence.
