Live Sports B2B Content Marketer to develop the messaging strategy, narratives, and advertiser-facing content for Amazon’s key sports programs, including Thursday Night Football, the NBA, NASCAR, and key global programs.
As the Live Sports Content Marketer, you will be part of the Amazon Ads’ Live Sports and Entertainment Marketing video team and help build the future of our video offering. In this exciting and highly visible role, you will partner with stakeholders across Amazon to develop and deliver cohesive and impactful go-to-market (GTM) sales and marketing content and assets promoting our global live sports programs.
We are looking for an accomplished B2B sports marketer that can wear multiple hats to excel in a unique role that combines content, industry, and product marketing initiatives. They will need to be as comfortable setting broader content strategy as they are diving deep into metrics to develop compelling data-driven messaging. In this role, you will work closely with leadership and partner with teams across the organization from Sales, Marketing, Events, Programming, and Production to Legal and PR to ensure there’s awareness, coordination, and alignment in developing best-in-class content and assets.
This candidate should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in creating insight-based narratives, the ability to build strong relationships, lead cross-functional teams, and influence stakeholders at all levels. You will have a strategic mindset and the ability to get in the weeds to execute at the tactical level and keep the trains running on time. This candidate will be well versed in the media industry and understand the nuances of live sports and video advertising to build and execute a roadmap of cross-channel (sales presentations, email, editorial, social, and event) content deliverables that position Amazon’s offerings to the advertising marketplace.
This role will work with stakeholders and leadership to set content marketing strategies, identify net new narratives that react to marketplace changes, deliver product positioning, pitch decks, and other customer-facing sales collateral, while also providing guidance to teams to develop direct-to-customer activations. They will systematically gain input and alignment across the org, regularly update materials and content, remove any roadblocks, drive strong internal communications, and relentlessly focus on the customer experience. The candidate should have a keen eye for design and robust experience with brand storytelling, with an aim to creatively push the boundaries of B2B marketing to amplify our Live Sports story narrative with advertising customers.
The right candidate will have a live sports and/or media marketing background and a deep understanding of how to effectively position media properties to marketing decision makers. Experience working with Product, Measurement, and Sales teams to craft storytelling and narratives with a high attention to detail, is key. This role will work closely with Prime Video, PR, Editorial, Events, and Social teams to extend the brand narrative to earned channels and Amazon Ads’ owned channels. Experience with video creation is preferred. This role requires a self-starter who is results-oriented and pushes to uphold the highest standard on all elements of execution. You will be comfortable with immense change and ambiguity, have the ability to simplify the complex, problem solve, and be passionate about leading complex workstreams to execute long-term strategies from start to finish. It is an individual contributor role with the opportunity to grow.
Key job responsibilities
-8+ years of B2B content and/or marketing experience
