JOB SUMMARY
As unprecedented economic development continues to unfold with extraordinarily large customers, the Pricing Contracts and Risk team will be at the forefront of strategic pricing and planning for the largest customers in Georgia Power and Southern Company. In this pivotal role, they will lead the creation of a strategic framework to mitigate pricing and planning risks across functions and administer customer contracts.
Additionally, this role will be responsible for developing pricing analyses regarding large load customers to Georgia Power Executives, the Georgia Public Service Commission (GPSC), Southern Company Electric Large Load Risk Oversight Committee (comprised of System CFOs), and various customer groups
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, Legal, or technical field
- Advanced degree a plus
- Previous experience in one of the following areas preferred: Contracts, Pricing, Planning, Finance, Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Economic Analysis, or Power Delivery.
- Experience with data analysis and advanced Excel skills required.
- Experience with contracts, RTP or billing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Good written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to individuals with various levels of understanding
- Strong project management skills,
- Understanding of business fundamentals
- Effective problem identification and problem solving skills
- Demonstrate sound judgment and appropriate level of risk-taking in decision making
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data analysis around the large load contracting and pricing elements
- Develop project and assumption tracking frameworks and workflow systems related to contracting and large load pricing
- Assist with the development and enhancement of cost recovery and revenue risk mitigation strategies to ensure financial stability and resilience of our pricing offerings, particularly around large load customers
- Provide extensive analytical and reporting support to all layers of Georgia Power and Southern Company executives and management
- Standardize contracting templates and optimize contract practices to ensure consistency in processes
- Collaborate with various departments, including AFT, legal, customer choice, forecasting, and resource planning
- Create innovative analyses, processes, and reporting across organizations to improve transparency and increase efficiency.
- Support rate case and regulatory filings
- Provide reports and rate/pricing analyses to the GPSC, and various customer groups
- Support the administration of pricing related contracts, and all contract compliance and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
