Job Description
The Art Instructor reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Teaches a variety of challenging and entertaining group art classes to Living Well patients and their families.
- Prepare class format/content appropriate for the type of class and level of participants.
- Assists in planning, marketing, and implementing programs with the coordinator of sports performance.
- Cleans and organizes studio after each group art class.
- Attentively listens to members, answers questions, and engages in conversation before and after classes.
- Proactively monitors/screens client health history information and coordinates the process for receipt of medical clearance as applicable.
- Demonstrates complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures including calling EMS.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching group art classes in a professional setting
Preferred:
- Healthcare experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in art or education
