The Strategy & Operations team within Worldwide Specialized Sales is seeking a Sales Operations Specialist to build and own mechanisms aimed primarily at driving operational efficiencies. This role will support Sales, Business Development, and Solution Architecture teams. This includes partnering with Sales Operations teams to implement and manage business processes, systems, tools, analyses, and reporting that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives. One of your primary stakeholders will be our Specialized Sales teams. The Sales Operations Specialist plays a critical role in establishing operational excellence and making important business decisions for the organization.
This role leverages a variety of tools such as Excel, Varicent, Anaplan, SQL, Salesforce.com, and numerous internal systems to determine root cause, run analyses, and propose operational solutions. These solutions may involve long-term system and policy changes or may only require short-term fixes applied to correct a particular situation. This is a hands-on role that often identifies, analyzes, and takes action to address core process challenges.
Key job responsibilities
- Support Specialist Sales compensation management, including setup of quota and territories across internal AWS tools like Frontier, Anaplan, and Varicent. Work directly with Sales Operations stakeholders across teams to ensure accurate inputs for compensation plan modifications.
- Drive key Specialist Operations centralized processes and mechanisms across sales operations systems like Salesforce.com, Smartsheet and Anaplan, ensuring data accuracy, documenting processes and procedures, and engaging directly with stakeholders.
- Complete reporting and analytics projects, including regular performance reports, ad-hoc analysis for leadership and executive summaries. Develop actionable insights from data.
- Project manage new and existing Sales Operations initiatives, including systems implementations, process enhancements, and cross-functional projects. Track and report project progress.
- Identify and implement process improvements, documenting and standardizing across various sales procedures. Recommend solutions to operational bottlenecks.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams including Sales Operations and Sales Leadership.
