Please Note : You will be required to be in the office at GA Power HQ @ 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA a minimum of four (4) days per week (Currently Mon thru Thur) and/or as additionally required.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide paralegal support to attorneys, Claims & Litigation Specialists, and others as may be assigned.
- Draft and prepare responses to customer inquiries, subpoenas and document requests, non-party discovery with attorney oversight.
- Prepare, implement, and manage legal holds, with attorney oversight.
- Draft, manage, and process correspondence and other documents.
- Act as administrator for Legal Department’s SharePoint sites, shared drives, and Legal Tracker.
- Utilize and manage files in Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker database for information management, invoice review and management, and reporting.
- Organize, expand, update, and maintain Legal Department forms and templates
- Provide administrative backup support as necessary.
- Work cross-functionally with internal business partners ensuring accurate and timely responses.
- Maintain pleadings and case-related repository.
- Conduct factual and legal research via court dockets, Pacer, legal databases, internet searches, and other systems.
- Track litigation matters including primary responsibility for calendaring and meeting litigation filing deadlines.
- Assist with preparing litigation case reports and statistics as needed.
- Complete other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Job Experience and Education:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience providing paralegal support in a law firm, government, or in-house legal department is required; law firm experience is a plus.
- Experience supporting litigation required; experience supporting real estate is a plus.
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school, a paralegal certificate or JD preferred, but not required, depending on job experience.
- Experience with legal matter management systems, tracking legal spend, generating reports and entering matter information is preferred.

- Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills with an appreciation for deadlines and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively and with flexibility for fluctuating priorities.
- Strong initiative, self-motivated and track record of using sound judgment to deliver quality business results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including drafting and editing documents.
- High aptitude for technology and proficiency in the use of MS Office suite (SharePoint, Word, Teams, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and database software.
- Demonstrate considerable analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to work independently, with attorney guidance, and set own work priorities, as well as support the attorneys.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and to build interdepartmental relationships at all levels.
- High ethical standards and behaviors.
- Customer service oriented.
