Pricing Analyst (Pricing & Rates)
Please Note; This position will require you to be in the office at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA 4 days per week and/or as additionally required.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for various technical requirements and activities related to the administration of Georgia Power’s portfolio of complex commercial and industrial pricing products, including the nation’s largest Real Time Pricing program. These requirements and activities include the development of pricing analyses, pricing scenarios, risk management product offerings, and interruptible program options. These pricing products apply to over 2,500 of Georgia Power’s largest customer accounts, which make up over 20% of Georgia Power’s annual retail revenues.
Additionally, this role will be responsible for meeting all contract compliance and governance requirements, along with participating in rate case needs and other special projects as necessary. As the unprecedented economic development continues to unfold with extraordinarily large load customers, the analyst will be at the forefront of administering the appropriate requirements to serve these large loads.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage various day-to-day requirements and activities related to pricing development, analyses, and administration of programs including:
+ Creating load shapes for analyses and billing
+ Establishing and updating Customer Baseline Load (CBL) shapes used in analyses and billing
+ Generating Fixed Pricing Alternative (FPA) offers
+ Developing risk management product offers (Price Protection Products)
+ Revenue calculations used in economic analyses, rate analyses, and customer pricing proposals
- Operating, maintaining, and/or supporting the software tools used to administer tariff and pricing options (such as BillGen, eLDV, CIT, CAT, Energy Direct, etc.)
- Extensive data analysis around the pricing and monitoring of RTP
- Support the calculation and delivery of hourly RTP prices as necessary
- Support oversight, administration, budgeting, reporting, and customer notifications of our interruptible programs
- Managing the flow, administration, and retention of RTP and other pricing related contracts, as well as fully complying with all contract compliance and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
- Providing reports and rate/pricing analyses to management, the Georgia Public Service Commission, and various customer groups as necessary
- Provide support on marginal pricing principles and extensive analytical support during rate cases
- Lead or participate in special marginal pricing, demand response, or miscellaneous projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education :
- 4-year degree in Engineering, Business, or technical field
- MBA a plus
Experience
- Previous experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: Pricing, Planning, Finance, Accounting, Sales/Marketing, Market Research, Power Delivery, Account Management/Support
- Experience with marginal pricing (RTP – calculation, administration, application, or billing) or with electric utility resource planning functions a plus
- Knowledge of electric utility system generation dispatch and economic dispatch theory a plus
- Extensive experience with data analysis and superior Excel skills required
- Experience with PowerBI a plus
